Adele é (quase) uma unanimidade, mas eu preciso confessar que não gosto de todas as suas músicas… mas as que me agradam, agradam em cheio, e “Set Fire to the Rain” é uma delas.

Alain Clark é um músico e produtor holandês que me lembra muito alguns de meus cantores preferidos (Maxwell, Prince… só para citar dois exemplos). Atualmente tenho ouvido bastante “Love is everywhere”, música com letra e ritmo deliciosos, daquelas que te põe um sorriso no rosto e te deixa feliz o dia inteiro. Espero que também gostem!

Na primeira vez que ouvi não consegui nem identificar quem era o cantor. Das outras, já comecei me simpatizado pelos assovios do início, e depois que vi o clipe a música grudou que nem chiclete em mim. Estou falando da música “Moves like Jagger”, do Maroon 5 com Christina Aguilera. Enjoy!

Fazia tempo que eu não postava uma música, né? Aliás, a minha escolhida de hoje não é uma, e sim, duas músicas magistrais: “What’s Going On?” e “Mercy, Mercy Me”, de Marvin Gaye. Por quê? Porque ele é O CARA, porque “What’s Going On” é uma das músicas mais poderosas e com forte apelo humanista e espiritual já gravadas até hoje (a música é de 1970!), e “Mercy, Mercy Me”, também chamada “The Ecology”, não fica atrás: já à época da gravação (também em 70) chamava a atenção para o descaso com a natureza e os animais. Profeta.

As duas músicas estiveram em primeiro lugar da lista R&B da Billboard e o álbum “What’s Going On?”, que continha as duas músicas, entre outras, é considerado “a mais importante e apaixonada gravação já lançada da música soul, entregue por uma de suas melhores vozes” (John Bush). Impossível discordar.

A música que decidi postar hoje eu acredito que não seja novidade para ninguém. Apesar de “antiga” (1983; 28 anos então), ainda toca em rádios, playlists ‘moderninhos’ ou românticos. Não à toa, foi parte da trilha sonora do filme “As Panteras Detonando” em 2008, com Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore e Lucy Liu.

Quem � m�e sabe que crian�as gostam de ver o mesmo filme 235.789 vezes. Entre muitos outros que (por enquanto) j� assisti “somente” 1.749, est� o filme RIO, presente da dinda do meu filhinho mais velho. E no filme, se tem uma cena que n�o me canso de ver – at� me emociono com a m�sica, juro!, � a que Blu e Jewel passeiam pelo bondinho de Santa Teresa e Nico (voz de Jamie Foxx) canta para a primeira “cena de amor”, ou ao menos sua tentativa rs!, do casal de araras.

Mais uma das paix�es que eu divido com a Cris � a m�sica. Adoro! Para mim, � o tipo de coisa capaz de alterar o humor e o estado de esp�rito em segundos – al�m de eternizar momentos e desenterrar lembran�as das mais antigas.

N�o bastasse gostar de m�sica e ser bastante ecl�tica quando o assunto � esse, tenho verdadeira obsess�o por m�sicas interpretadas em franc�s � um dos idiomas mais belos e sonoros aos meus ouvidos – e essa semana passei curtindo algumas das minhas favoritas. Entre elas? V�rias da Carla Bruni, a brasileir�ssima �Samba da B�n��o� na voz de Stacey Kent (Samba Saravah) e Sympatique, da Pink Martini � que at� j� foi citada por�aqui.

Depois disso, minha dica cultural para esse final de semana n�o podia ser outra: que tal um passeio pelas m�sicas cantadas em franc�s?

S� para dar um gostinho, o v�deo divertido, leve e � por que n�o? – did�tico, que eu simplesmente adoro, de Sympatique, com a Pink Martini…
